Blues for Allah - inshallah
Terrapin
Anthem
Shakedown
Mars hotel - pride of cucamonga, just love that song

-----
Interesting to see many people choose
Workingmans dead&. (love the pics on the back espec jerry and pig)
American beauty

Had em both on vinyl, but these albums were least like the live dead experience for me, and why they don't make the cut. Where is the jamming rolling thunder? The stripped down raw diddys eventually developed into live jams, but the albums are too much on the folk side for me. The dead, especially jerry, were always trying and failing to capture what the band was best known
for with little avail. Could you imagine if they released more live stuff from the start?

I agree with your view of American Beauty And Workingman's Dead. To be fair I would just add that the vocal harmonies on those two albums are uniquely fantastic.

The 5 that have knocked me sideways, in no particular order:
- Wake of the Flood
- Blues For Allah
- Anthem of the Sun
- Aoxomoxoa
- From the Mars Hotel
